Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Circassian App (the "App") operated by Social Ascension LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. License to Use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes, subject to these Terms.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. You may need to create an account to use certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at Carson@circassianapp.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
3. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
Premium is available as a Monthly plan ($7.99/month), an Annual plan ($44.99/year), and a Family plan ($99.99/year for up to six people), each with a 3-day free trial. Some content, such as an audio course, is available as a one-time purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed in your App Store or Google Play settings.
We do not provide refunds for partial or unused subscription periods, and one-time purchases are final and non-refundable once access has been granted, except where a refund is required by applicable law. To avoid a future subscription charge, cancel before your current period renews.
4. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App to transmit spam, malware, or unlawful content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or user accounts
- Reproduce or redistribute App content without written permission
- Use the App for any commercial purpose without our consent
5. Intellectual Property
All content in the App, including audio recordings, text, graphics, lesson content, and software, is owned by Social Ascension LLC or licensed to us, and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content is 100% accurate. Language learning outcomes depend on individual effort and cannot be guaranteed. Certain features may generate content or translations automatically; such output may contain inaccuracies.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Social Ascension LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Our total liability to you for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your license to use the App ends immediately.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of competent jurisdiction in the United States.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Community Chat & User Content
The App includes community and communication features where signed-in users can share messages, media, and other content ("User Content"). By posting, you agree to these Community Guidelines. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users.
- Be respectful -- no harassment, hate speech, threats, or personal attacks.
- No objectionable content -- nothing sexually explicit, violent, illegal, or otherwise abusive.
- No spam, scams, or unsolicited advertising.
- No impersonation of others.
- Keep it kind and on topic. English, Russian, Turkish, and Circassian are all welcome.
You are responsible for the content you post. You can report any content and block any user directly in the App. We review reports and remove violating content, and may suspend or permanently ban users -- typically within 24 hours of a report. We may remove any content at our discretion.
You retain ownership of your User Content; by submitting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display it as necessary to operate the App.
