How The Free Tier Works
Learn Adyghe for free, top to bottom
No locked chapters, no "first 3 lessons free" trick, no account wall. The entire Adyghe curriculum is open to free users from day one. The only difference Premium makes is pacing: with unlimited hearts, you never get bumped out of a lesson for a wrong answer.
Every Adyghe lesson, free
All of the alphabet, all of the vocabulary, all of the grammar, all of the Xabze content. Free users have access to the entire course, start to finish.
Hearts, not paywalls
If you answer incorrectly, you lose a heart. Run out and you wait a bit, or you practice to earn more. Premium just removes the wait by giving you unlimited hearts. Nothing about the content changes.
Practice earns back hearts
Out of hearts? Open a practice session. Review what you already learned, get hearts back, and jump straight back into the next Adyghe lesson. No card, no signup pressure.
No account required
Download the app and start learning Adyghe in 30 seconds. You can create a free account later if you want to sync progress across devices. Totally optional.
Native Adyghe audio on every word
Every Adyghe word and phrase is recorded with native Kabardian speakers. You hear the real pronunciation of Ӏ, лъ, кӏ, щӏ, гъ, хъ, on day one. Free.
Built by the community
Made with native Adyghe speakers, heritage learners, and the Circassian diaspora. Every sentence is checked. No AI filler, no shortcuts.
The Full Free Adyghe Curriculum
What you can learn without paying
This is the whole curriculum. Not a sample, not a teaser, not the "beginner" slice. If you put in the time, you can learn Adyghe end to end in the free tier.
The full Adyghe (Kabardian) alphabet
All 59 letters of the Adyghe alphabet, with audio. Including the consonants that make the language unique: Ӏ, гъ, хъ, лъ, кӏ, щӏ, хь, пӏ, тӏ. Taught letter by letter, with examples.
Hundreds of real Adyghe words
Family, food, greetings, Circassian hospitality, numbers, time, directions, weather, emotions, travel. The Adyghe vocabulary you actually need to start conversations.
Adyghe phrases and sentences
Real usable sentences, from "how are you?" to "please come in, the food is ready." Enough Adyghe to greet a relative, write a message, read a road sign in Nalchik.
Adyghe grammar, step by step
Adyghe grammar is famously complex: ergativity, polysynthesis, rich verb morphology. Every piece is broken into small, audio-first lessons. All in the free tier.
Xabze and Adyghe culture
Xabze is the Circassian code of honor, and Adyghe the language it was made to carry. Greetings, respect for elders, hospitality, Nart sagas, wedding traditions. Cultural lessons included in the free curriculum.
Advanced and intermediate content
Longer texts, harder grammar, idioms, Nart excerpts. Not locked. Free users reach the same finish line as paying users.

Learning Adyghe For Free, FAQ
Everything you need to know about the free Adyghe course
Is it really free to learn Adyghe in this app?
Yes. Every Adyghe lesson is free. Alphabet, vocabulary, grammar, phrases, Xabze, advanced content, all of it. The free tier is the whole course, not a sample.
What does Premium actually unlock?
Unlimited hearts. That is the main thing. Hearts are the app's built-in mistake counter: you lose one when you answer incorrectly, and if you run out you have to wait or practice before continuing. Premium simply removes that wait by giving you unlimited hearts. It does not unlock any Adyghe content that free users cannot also reach.
How do hearts work if I am on the free tier?
You start each day with a set number of hearts. Every wrong answer costs one. If you run out, you can either wait for them to refill on a timer, or open a practice session to earn hearts back instantly by reviewing Adyghe words and phrases you already learned. Either way, you keep learning without paying.
Do I need an account to learn Adyghe?
No. You can download the app, open it, and start the first Adyghe lesson without creating an account or entering an email. An account is optional, and only matters if you want progress to sync between your phone and tablet or across devices.
Can I really learn Adyghe all the way through on the free tier?
Yes. There is no content tier locked behind Premium. Advanced grammar, idioms, long-form texts, Nart excerpts, everything is available to free users. People have completed the entire Adyghe course without paying a cent. Premium just makes the journey smoother for learners who make lots of mistakes.
What does "Adyghe" mean in this app?
Adyghe (Адыгэ) is the native self-name of the Circassian people and their language. In common usage across the diaspora it covers both main branches. The app teaches Kabardian, also known as Eastern Adyghe, spoken by about 1.6 million people across Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia, Türkiye, Jordan, Syria, and the broader Circassian diaspora.
Is the Adyghe alphabet really free?
Yes, the full 59-letter Adyghe (Kabardian) alphabet is taught in the free tier, with native audio on every letter.
How long does it take to learn Adyghe from scratch?
With 10 minutes of daily practice, most learners recognize the Adyghe alphabet within a week, string together basic sentences within a month, and hold a simple Adyghe conversation within two to three months. With heritage exposure from family, it can be a lot faster.
Can I practice Adyghe offline?
Yes. Once you download a lesson pack, practice works fully offline. No signal, no subscription needed.
Is there a free Adyghe dictionary in the app?
Yes. Every word in every lesson has built-in Adyghe, English, Russian, and Turkish definitions. Tap and hold any word to see them.
Will the free Adyghe content stay free forever?
Yes. The plan is to keep the whole curriculum free and expand it over time. This project exists to help keep the Adyghe language alive, not to maximize revenue per user.
How is this different from other language apps?
Most big language apps do not offer Adyghe at all. The ones that do usually have a few flashcards and call it a course. This app gives you a real, structured Adyghe curriculum, free, with native audio, offline support, and cultural depth.
What devices support the Adyghe app?
iPhone and iPad running iOS 15 or newer, and Android phones and tablets running Android 8 or newer. Free on both.
