Goodbye in Circassian is Узыншэу! (Uzynsheu!) or ФIыкIэ! (F'yk'e!) in Kabardian and ХъяркIэ! (Khyark'e!) in Adyghe. For someone setting off on a trip there is a special blessing, “safe journey”.
Goodbye in Kabardian and Adyghe
The Circassian app’s audio course teaches goodbye in lesson 21. In the Kabardian course the word is Узыншэу!, and the narrator explains that it means “stay well”. Inside it you can see узыншэ, “healthy”, the same word that is inside “I’m well”. The Adyghe course teaches ХъяркIэ!
The Kabardian lessons also teach ФIыкIэ! as goodbye, so you will meet both in Kabardian.
Safe journey
Lesson 19 of the course is a send-off: Aslan is leaving on a trip, and Madina wishes him a safe journey, which the course calls the blessing for someone setting off: Гъуэгу махуэ! in Kabardian and Гъогумаф! in Adyghe. The same lesson teaches the word for road, гъуэгу / гъогу. The Kabardian dictionary in the app lists two meanings for махуэ: “day”, and “kind, happy”.

If it is late, good night is a goodbye too: in lesson 16, Aslan says it at the door with “see you tomorrow”.
