A Circassian host calls a guest ХьэщIэ дахэ. in Kabardian or ХьакIэ дахэ. in Adyghe. The course translates it “dear guest” and points out that the word used is “beautiful”: the Kabardian dictionary gives дахэ as “beautiful”. Next the host asks the guest to sit down, КъэтIыс, which is the same in both dialects, and offers tea.
