Each page below takes one topic from the Circassian app’s courses and shows its words in Kabardian (East Circassian) and Adyghe (West Circassian), side by side, with audio, example sentences from the app’s audio course and a short quiz.
Every word here is a word the app teaches, checked against a second source: the Kabardian–Russian dictionary (Apazhev and Kokov, 2008), the app’s Adyghe dictionary, the app’s audio course (its scripts were reviewed by a native speaker of each dialect) or the Kabardian and Adyghe Wikipedias. A word that could not be checked this way is not on the page.

Questions
Where do the words come from?
From the lessons of the Circassian app, which has a course for each dialect. Each word was checked against a second source: the Kabardian–Russian dictionary (Apazhev and Kokov, 2008), the app’s Adyghe dictionary, the app’s audio course or the Kabardian and Adyghe Wikipedias.
Kabardian or Adyghe: which one should I learn?
Kabardian (East Circassian) is spoken in Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay-Cherkessia and by many families in Turkey; Adyghe (West Circassian) is spoken in Adygea and also widely in Turkey. If your family speaks one of them, start with that one; with no family connection either works. The dialects page explains the difference. Every page here shows both.
Can I hear the words?
Yes. Tap the speaker button next to a word to hear it: the audio is the app’s own, from its lessons. The example sentences play the app’s audio course.
